The Art of the Break: Solving "Invisible" Typography Issues in Flutter
Typography is a centuries-old art form perfected in the world of print, yet it remains one of the most overlooked "silent" components of modern app design.
When you don't care about typography, your app can feel subtly unprofessional - marred by clumsy line breaks, awkwardly truncated text, and poor spacing. These challenges are amplified in apps offering a German UI, because German has many long words that can easily shatter a layout.
However, when typography is done well, your users experience a sense of effortless clarity they can’t quite name.
You don’t need to know anything about typography to take away valuable lessons from this session. I will show you basic typography problems found in real-world apps, how we solved them in the AUTOVIO app, and how you can apply those same solutions to your own projects.
