Android GDE, Boardgame lover, videogame addict and origami enthusiast. I self-taught myself to code and I've been fooling around with the Android ecosystem for more than 10 years. I've participated in a diverse variety of projects for several clients around the world, including video streaming, news, social media and public transport applications. Regardless of where my current adventures take me, I love finding time to play with new things and share my experience :)
Snapshot of Community
AI is changing how we write code, search for information, and learn new technologies. As more of these tasks become automated, what keeps developer communities relevant?
In this keynote, we’ll look beyond code and explore the role communities play in our careers: sharing experiences, mentoring each other, learning together, and creating opportunities. From local meetups to conferences and open source, we’ll look at the interactions that shape us as developers beyond the knowledge we share.
Technology will continue to change, but communities evolve for a different reason: people choosing to participate. Let’s take a look at what makes our community worth investing in, and what we can do to help it grow.
Practical Filament - Resheep your UI!
Let’s take a closer look at Filament, the real-time physically based rendering engine, and learn how to use it to build fun effects in our day -to-day UI.
Using Compose Multiplatform, we will explore the main Filament features, and how to use them to create some particle and material based UI effects and interactions. We will cover how to set up Filament, how to work with its material system, and how to use shaders and lighting to create simple effects that react to touch and animations. All of this rooted in practical examples, without diving too much into low level graphics code.
After this talk, you will have a better understanding of how Filament works, and how you can use it to create expressive and dynamic UI in your own projects.
Keep it fun, keep it animated! :)
