The End of "Good Enough": How AI Forces Us to Rethink Sprints, MVPs, and Engineering Prioritisation

Modern software delivery practices such as the two-week sprint, the Minimum Viable Product, and strict backlog prioritisation were built on one assumption: software is slow and expensive to build. AI is rapidly eroding that constraint.

In this talk, Vahid Panjganj, a software engineer, and Nadav Mordechai, a product leader, challenge delivery practices the industry has treated as gospel for decades. From the engineering side, AI-assisted development is compressing work that once took weeks into hours, raising questions about velocity, estimation, and prioritisation. If building is no longer the bottleneck, why deprioritise features?

From the product side, this shift challenges the idea of the Minimum Viable Product. MVPs were designed for a world of scarcity. When products can be built and tested in days, “minimum viable” may no longer be the right strategy.

Together, they explore what still matters and what product and engineering leaders need to rethink now.
