Franz Nkemaka is the CEO & Founder of Nextise GmbH, a Stuttgart-based AI implementation company helping industrial and mid-sized enterprises build and deploy sovereign AI systems, intelligent knowledge platforms, process automation, and modern software solutions.

As an entrepreneur, AI strategist, and technology leader, Franz works at the intersection of artificial intelligence, automation, and software engineering. Through Nextise and its education platform Kodschul, he and his team have trained more than 3,000 professionals—from software developers and IT specialists to department leaders and C-level executives. His work has included training and consulting engagements with organizations such as Deutsche Bahn, TÜV Nord, Deutsche Telekom, Bundeswehr, Big Dutchman, LMV Versicherung, and Austria's Bundesrechenzentrum.

Franz is known for translating complex technologies into practical business outcomes. Drawing from real-world implementation experience, he helps organizations move beyond AI experimentation toward scalable, production-ready solutions. He has also spoken at the Embedded Software Engineering (ESE) Congress, where he presented on Rust for Embedded Systems to industry professionals and decision-makers.

Today, he leads a growing international team of AI specialists, software engineers, and trainers, helping companies apply emerging technologies in ways that create measurable operational and competitive advantages.

His story began in Dschang, Cameroon, where curiosity became the foundation of a lifelong passion for technology. Long before reliable internet access was available, Franz taught himself computer skills through relentless experimentation and self-directed learning. A pivotal breakthrough in 2016 accelerated his journey into software development and entrepreneurship, laying the foundation for the international company he leads today.

Having moved to Germany as a teenager without speaking German and building his career without a formal degree, Franz represents a new generation of technology entrepreneurs who combine technical depth, business execution, and a global perspective.

His mission is simple: empowering businesses and professionals to build scalable, future-proof solutions with AI, automation, and software engineering.

Why Senior Engineers Fail at Agentic Coding and What Top Performers Do Differently

Over the past two years, I’ve trained and coached more than 2,000 developers and led hands-on agentic coding enablement programs for teams at organizations including Siemens, Enercon, and GFT. One pattern kept repeating: when developers use AI coding agents, seniority is not what predicts success.

Give two developers the same agent, same codebase, same task—one becomes significantly more productive, the other quickly loses trust in the output. This talk shares what actually differentiates them based on 100+ developers in real-world sessions.

We’ll explore why experienced engineers sometimes struggle, what successful users consistently do differently, and the most common mistakes teams make when adopting agents. Attendees will leave with a practical way to evaluate and improve their own agentic coding workflow.

I introduce a simple 4-pattern model explaining why developers succeed or fail with agentic coding systems.
